UNPACKING

Beginning of The Backward Design Process

Teachers were introduced to the Backward design process before planning and programming. For each sector, teachers select a content standard from the syllabus and unpack the content standard to identify the following:

  • Topics

  • Lesson topis or titles

  • Knowledge

  • Skills

  • Values and attitudes

  • Lesson objectives

  • Key/Essential or Driving Questions

PLANNING AND PROGRAMMING

Group activities done by different sectors. Each group in each sector is required to select a curriculum standard from the syllabus, unpack it, develop a lesson plan and present it. Each group presentation or work was evaluated by other groups using a rubric that was developed earlier and given to all groups to consider when doing the activity.
